Competencies now lie at the heart of most organizations’ recruitment and development activities. Recruitment can be a very costly activity, so it is important to get it right the first time. The biggest challenge with recruitment process is not the unavailability of skilled people; it’s our inability to map right people for the right job. Anyone involved in the recruitment or staff selection process will find this a very useful course packed with practical skills and tools to help you recruit successfully.
This capsule provides the skills, knowledge and the process to define, develop and map competencies and then using competency based interviewing techniques in order to select and recruit the right person for the job whilst ensuring a fair and transparent process.
Competency Mapping And Interviewing skills will focus on how to develop, define and measure competencies and select the candidates who are the most competent or have the potential to be so.
This workshop will equip you with the tools and techniques to conduct effective competency based interviews, enhancing your ability to select the right people for the right roles in the best possible manner

Course Overview

The current program is designed to be conducted in a workshop style offering participants an opportunity to cognitively understand behavioral & competency framework and also use it for selection interviews.

Participants will get a first-hand experience of developing various competencies, and designing appropriate questions for ascertaining competencies by conducting mock selection interviews in a simulated environment during the workshop.

Training Methodology

The entire approach for covering the focus areas would be semi-structured in nature wherein effort would be on co-creation. The participation of the trainees will become the subject matter for discussion and analysis. However, the faculty and her associate would provide structured inputs for learning and reinforcement purposes.

A number of simulation exercises and role-plays will be designed for the trainees.

Timing of the Course
