Prof. P V S Sarma is a Corporate Trainer with over 24 years of experience as a trainer. He has over 35 years experience in the Industry which includes 12 years in Management Training & Development. He is an Honors Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and a Holder of Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. He is a certified Auditor for ISO 9000 Quality Systems. He was Additional Director (HRD), Management Training Institute, Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL), Ranchi before moving to Symbiosis Center for Management & HRD, Pune in April 2000.

 

He was trained as Trainer for Training Officers (TOTO) in the United Kingdom at Ashorne Hill Management College, Brookfield Management Centre, and Teesside Training Enterprise. He developed many specific training modules suiting to Indian conditions and requirements. He conducted a series of TOTO Programs for more than 300 training officers/ functional managers of SAIL, RINL, etc. Application of learning in TOTO modules resulted in benefits to departments quantitatively and qualitatively in terms of higher productivity, better yield, improved quality, conducive work practices, enhanced customer satisfaction, significant financial gains etc. Departments are coming forward for training projects to be undertaken by TOTO participants. Benefits of the TOTO programs have received wide acceptance and popularity in Training Departments as well as line/staff departments in the organization. He is a regular visiting faculty for the TOTO programs being organized by SAIL for the last 23 years.

 

Prof.Sarma conducted many managerial skill development programs for organizations like Steel Authority of India Limited, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Visakhapatnam, Jindal South West Steel, Qatar Steel Company – Doha, Habib Construction LLC-OMAN, Ranbaxy, Maruti Suzuki, Petroleum Conservation and Research Association (PCRA), Sudhir Gen Sets Ltd., Cadence Systems-Noida, Central Bank of India, etc. More than 500 Training Officers and Executives of different Companies attended the Presentation Skills Development module conducted by Prof. Sarma and enhanced their effectiveness as Presenters for their organizations and achieved personal successes on the job.

 

Prof.Sarma also worked as an Associate Professor (HR) with Symbiosis Centre for Management & HRD, Pune and also as the First Principal for ICFAI National College, Rajahmundry offering MBA. He taught Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and specialization subjects Training & Development and Performance Management at these two centers of learning and conducted a number of sessions for the personality development of Management Students.
